President Donald Trump will be in Northern Kentucky on Saturday, Oct. 17.

Trump will be in Highland Heights, but the specific location was not included in an event sign up. Doors open at 10:30 a.m., a rally starts at 12:30 p.m. Trump will speak at 2 p.m. The event is free, but registration is required.

Trump was last in the commonwealth in March when he rallied in Hebron for Ed Gallrein in the primary against U.S. Rep. Thomas Massie. Gallrein later defeated Massie.

Trump has been on a speaking tour of Republican states to tout GOP candidates. In recent weeks, several political forecasters have tightened the odds in the 6th Congressional District between Republican Ralph Alvarado and Democrat Zach Dembo.

U.S. Rep. Andy Barr, the GOP nominee in the Kentucky Senate race, told reporters ahead of a roundtable with Hemp industry stakeholders Tuesday afternoon that he was offered a speaking slot by the White House. Barr is facing Democrat Charles Booker, a former state representative.

“It’s an important opportunity for all of us who are running for office. … The President obviously cares very much about the midterm elections,” Barr said.
